Core-Asset Consulting Nominated for 'Financial Services Company of the Year' Award

Betsy Williamson - 10-Apr-2013

Core-Asset Consulting, a leading independent recruitment company, has been shortlisted* for the ‘Financial Services Company of the Year’ award at this year’s forthcoming Scottish Business Awards.

The judging panel has recommended Core-Asset Consulting for the accolade based on its significant contribution to Scotland’s standing as a financial centre. The panel specifically cited Core-Asset’s success in providing recruitment solutions for the Investment Banking and Financial Services markets throughout Scotland.

The panel also highlighted the company’s reputation for consistently retaining preferred supplier status with some of Scotland’s leading financial services firms.

Criteria for the award nomination included demonstrating evidence of growth and success, improved market share, customer satisfaction, and a successful launch or continued programme of product or service development.
Betsy Williamson, Managing Director of Core-Asset Consulting, said:

“To be nominated for any award is pleasing. But for a recruitment company to be shortlisted in the ‘Financial Services Company of the Year’ category is an indication of how far Core-Asset Consulting has travelled since its launch in 2005.

“From a standing start the business has achieved consistent year-on-year growth. Eight years on, we have established ourselves as the top recruitment partner for many of Scotland’s most successful fund management companies and financial services firms.

“Key to our success has been the determination not to adopt a sales-based recruitment model. Our objective is to identify the best possible applicants to meet our client’s requirements, rather than putting forward the most active and available.

“This approach has seen us consistently punching above our weight, regularly competing with global and national recruitment companies for many of our client accounts. In some instances we are the only independent recruitment company awarded top-tier status.

“We offer all our candidates the same ethical, professional and consultative recruitment approach we provide our clients. This commitment ensures we build strong and long-term relationships – nearly three-quarters of our candidates are attracted via referral and reputation, rather than the traditional sales-based routes. We feel privileged to be able to support so many of our candidates throughout the length of their career.”

*’Financial Services Company of the Year’ award shortlist also includes Brewin Dolphin, Franklin Templeton Global Investors, Johnston Carmichael (Scotland) Ltd, Kames Capital, Nucleus Financial Group, Sainsbury's Bank and Scottish Friendly Assurance Society
